I thought the dash was just a standard Cortina item.

Thats the later MK5 GHIA dash - plastic wood around dials and vinyl look glove box - the earlier MK4 GHIA had a full width wood effect and the lower spec models Black right across.
The MK5 also differs in that it has fresh air vents in the centre and the heater controls below them - the radio and a clock are in a separate lower console - not fitted in that picture
The earlier MK4 and facelift MK3 had the radio in the dash and no lower console.
I think only 2000E, Sport,GLS and Ghia models had the rev counter.
How sad is that.....

well you have some usefull info there
I have the remains of the wood effect round the dial cluster and the mounts for a glove box (I had a closer look )and i do have a revcounter so have one of the models you listed
as I bought the car to use on tracks I am going to have a one piece dash made entirely out of fiberglass and spray painted matt black
