G32 turbo at Harewood School
Discussion
That was my understanding too. When I bought the car it had the standard finned panels in place of the side scoops. I found out later that when my car and another 1.9 G32 were up for sale together the guy that bought the 1.9 asked if he could have the side scoops off mine and the dealer agreed.
I managed to source a replacement pair of turbo scoops but after talking to a renowned authority on all things Ginetta I was informed they would blow air out rather than suck air in without the front splitter. Fortunately he had a spare so the deal was done.
Watching the video again made me want the car back but then I looked at the weather outside and remembered all the wet arses and de-icing the inside of the windscreen so I'll just make do with my g27 in the summer months instead.

Awesome and agreed commentator seems abit of a tit.
Looking good, I was of the understanding the scoops were originally made for the Turbo's only but as overheating or reliability problems they ceased the turbo? With that I think yours sit's afair bit higher then mine but then I am on 14's.

Don't think the factory ever produced a turbo model as such. I believe 2 cars were made but the turbo conversion was done outside the factory as a development exercise to get more power out of the 1.6 engine. The engine bay temperature issues made it unrealsitic to be sold from a showroom to your average punter so the 1.9 engine was introduced and the turbo project was scrapped.Gassing Station | Ginetta | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
