Welcome, by the way, Mystic Blue.
What else do you have?
Mike Chittenden was very successful in Modsports in the G4 (teamed up with Fred Taylor) in the 80s.
Did you know just how extreme their G4 became?
They competed in Thundersports and at this time the car had an 'enormous' wing on the rear!

So who was John Digby then ?? He had a bloodly fast G4 as well didn't he ?? He also competed in Modsports in the 80's. Very successfully as well if I remember correctly.
Just found a photo of it going around Druids. I'll try and scan it in and post it up shortly.
Also found a picture of a very pretty G15 that was for sale at the same time by one of the 'Woods' brothers. Think they were racing a G15 at the time in Modsports.

I knew Mike and Fred (and Rupert Flin) quite well during the 1975 Modsports season but lost touch soon after, although Mike did rebuild the engine from my Elan Sprint a few years later. I don't think I have much more Ginetta related stuff and it's a pity I didn't take more photos as I went to the factory and met all of the Walklett brothers. What else do you have?

Yes, Digby was also very successful, winning . He started in the G4 in 81 after some success in a Davrian modsports. In fact, he won the BRSCC modsports championship in the G4 in his first year. By 84 his car was showing it's wounds so the car was rebuilt and looked slightly outrageous with its new modifications, but it went superbly and he took 2 championships that year.Just found a photo of it going around Druids.
