Got my Dare G4 back from Dare yesterday, all going fine until the underside of the car hit a bump in the road... Now it is running very poorly as if not on all cylinders- acceleration is poor and it won't pull smoothly from low RPM and it sounds very different to before!..
Any ideas?? It is on weber alpha carbs

Crushed exhaust pipe choking the engine, or crushed fuel line?

If it starts ok then after abour 20 secs the problems start as you describe, then my penny is on the exhaust.

Hope this helps.

Possible damaged Lambda probe ? Dont know where it is on the Dare however, but they are normally in the lower section of exhaust down tube.

An interesting day! Thanks to Dare and Webcon, the possibility of an electrical fault was ruled out. The problem was simply that one of the screws from the auxilliary venturi was missing which meant the car was essentially running with just one carb... I dont feel so bad bout hitting that hump in the road now!
