As I wont get my G50 for another 3 weeks or so Ginetta kindly let me drive the factory car for 20 laps of mallory park today.

I tried to video it but it didn't work unfortunately.

First impressions are very good. The car feels light, agile and well put together. There are some very nice features such as adjustable seating position - on runners and also adjustable steering column (courtesty of a mondeo). Easy to fit any driver in.

Looks like a front running time is in the 48 second area.

I cant wait to get mine and do some proper testing!!!!

I'll make sure the video works for that!

Hi Ben,

Was good to see you at Mallory on Friday. Here is a short video we took though I'm afraid not taken while you were at the wheel.

Hmmm....
With panel gaps like that it's definately a proper Ginetta then... Bit of work to do to turn it into a production car i reckon.

a tad unfair, esp. if it was the one that "someone" had put in the wall and that was the ensuing damage..

Was a tongue in cheek comment following the previous discussions. The windows appear to have "background ventilation" built in though where they meet the bodywork at the top?
Still i'm as glad to see it up and running as the next man.

I think I am right in saying that the car in my photos is the prototype.

The 'customer' cars that were there looked a lot better finished.

I am sure I will be taking similar photos of my car when it arrives....
