Seeing as there is very little posted on the GOC website regarding events for 2008 would like to remind anyone interested in the classic car night at the Ace cafe that happens on every 2nd tuesday of the month. Loads of classics present and sponsored by classic cars mag. All you have to do is turn up- normally from 6pm onwards

Also the race retro show in march is the 5th international historic motorsport show at stoneleigh. There is a drive-out to the show from the Ace on sun 16th March- participants get discounted entry to the show. Let me know if anyone is interested in this..

The Le mans classic 11-13 July- I am planning to go to this event. Do many Ginetta owners make the trip over for this event?

If anyone knows of any other events apart from the 50th celebrations that may be good to attend please post

Every round of the BGT championship? G50s in that and the G50 cup as well!! Should be entertaining racing..

We'll be there to kick off our honeymoon, but no Ginetta. If anybody is going it'd be good to meet up - if anybody has a G4 and will be there, please tell us as I want Mel to see one properly to help sway the idea of getting one... not that we've got any spare space in the stables for one

I am doingthe Le Mans 24 again and I am considering doing the Classic subject to Executive Approval from my higher authority.

people who have been tell me the classic is awesome. Much less crowded, more nostalgic, racing just as good. Of course you get to do laps on the curcuit as well if you choose...

Yep, I went to the first classic, it was fantastic!

Went to the last classic and i'm going to this years aswell, much more relaxed than proper le mans, not taking the G15 though, will be having a slightly less manic cruise down in the healey 3000 instead (got laps around the full circuit though!!! cant wait)

will be taking the G15 to the classic meetings at castle combe though (always been G4's and G12's racing for the past 3 years)

As a Ginetta club co-ordinator I have compiled a list of events for 2008 on a word document, which covers most Ginetta attended events and quite a few Yorkshire region events. It includes both Le Mans weekends and the factory and club 50th festivals, which should all, be great fun. The GT and GOC motor racing dates are in too.
I am happy to email this to people if you wish to contact me. The club has no Webmaster at the moment so the web calendar is not working until a volunteer is found to help out. Any PC boffins fancy helping out?
