Why hasn't PH tested a G12?
Discussion
The LWB has not been made yet. Plus there are only a hand full of G12's in the UK and most of them are race cars. I would be surprised if there was more than 5-6 road legal versions which would be rather old by now.
If you ordered a new G12 from Dare you would not be able to get it through the SVA in its current form.

Graham Bell (who did the G4) reviews would love a go in a G12 to review it, but hasn't ever had the chance to do so. I'd love to see a review by GB as I hold his reviews in high regard and he has some passion for the marque.
Anybody with a G12 want to give him a go?
Also I think that the G12s out there are quite unique, so maybe you can't really do a review for the model, but the specific car, which may not translate very well into a review.

G12 feature test write up out shortly in one of the mags - can't recall the title, something like Performance Track car? Article feature Willie Green Jonny Blades Chris Meek (and think Ivor as well).
Just found out the feature will be in TOTAL KITCAR magazine, next but one issue. You may have noticed this mag is now on general sale in most UK outlets, even supermarkets
Please: you are missing my point.
I find it very dissapointing that the fab G12 is only available in rolling or fully finished conditions. About 24K and 32K ish costs.
That is a large lump sum to find.
To me kit cars are cars you can get as kits, or even modules, chassis/body, then suspension, then interior/electrics etc.
A Kit Car mag would be right under those circumstances, but when the car is essentially a factory build only....
I would dearly love to hillclimb a G12. but would want to get the car in a form that suited me and the cars purpose. 24K is not realistic. G12 's will be scarce at this rate.

Came across this on the Ginetta forum
I just retrieved my Ginetta G12P replica from my barn in northern California, and I am ready
to sell it. The body was allegedly pulled from the original G12P molds when they and the
original G12P were in northern California, and the car has one of four (I'm told) original
windshields. The body is complete and in excellent condition; the front and rear sections are
mounted, as are the doors. (I had door hinges made using the original G12P hinges as
patterns.) The chassis is a square-tube replica Ginetta chassis that has been modified in the
rear to accept a Mazda rotary engine, a Porsche 914 side-shifter transaxle; and VW Scirroco
front suspension, half shafts and disc brakes. These are all installed. (Everything fits without
cutting the deck. Also, the cooling slots under the rear spoiler have not been cut.) The front
suspension, steering, and disc brakes are from a Triumph Spitfire; and all four wheels are
Minilite replicas. The radiator, oil cooler, and dual gas tanks (in the sills) are installed and
plumbed; the door handles and release mechanisms (from American Motors cars) are
installed; the instrument panel is complete and installed; the steering and ignition lock (from
a VW) are installed. The major things that the car still needs are an exhaust system, wiring,
painting, and upholstery. Of course, after ten years of storage, the car needs to be gone
through before it is street-worthy. I have some photos that I took yesterday (10FEB08), but
they are to big to post here.
If interested, please call me at 650-520-7891.

Is Kit Car magazine distributed in the US?
What about photos of the other G12?
It's called TOTAL KIT CAR.What about photos of the other G12?
Asked editor Steve Hole and he replied with this:
Not sold in USA yet. We are in Australia, Germany, Belgium, Holland and Ireland.
they can always do it via mail order if they want.
here's a link to the relevant shop page:

Not cheap! Doesn't look like it's in next issue anyway here's a piccy taken by a friend.

What an historic pic for the scrapbook!
Ivor, Blades, Green (Willie), and Meek together
with the car that Lotus partially got an idea from for the Elise
and no I didn't say it, a 'Lotus' writer did!

Seeing stuff like that makes me happy I'm not living in the US with their crazy 'f**k it, let's sue" attitude to try and prove a point as they rarely seem to profit in any way from it.
I really hope this new era of colloboration bears some fruit for the G50 and beyond.
