It might help if you had a web link to the car with its age, spec, condition, mileage etc.

This has cropped up before, same car !! So theres another thread on it somewhere. I suppose over here someone would be asking 9K'ish so its about what they are asking in dollars.

Added later - In fact it was you !! wink

Guilty, but there have been fairly significant changes made to the car since he last sold it and got it back... This would be the only one I'VE ever seen in person, and I'm getting the impression they may be even more rare over here than my current Westfield XI.

Just trying to make the most informed of buying decisions.

Thanks!

You will pay 10k for a good spec second hand car here which is 5 years old. I just sold my 2002 for 9k for a quick sale, then subsequently got offererd 10k after it had gone!

Factory built 1800 zetec can be had for a lot less though, I would suggest 7-8K
You are very right, the road G20 is rare here, in America it's rocking horse poo, and will stay like that now. If you want one, I would buy it as you might not get another chance,

It is nice from the outside but the interior is a bit over the top IMHO

You ether love the colours or you don't on a car like that....... If they are that rare in the USA The car is only worth what he can sell it for and a uk price would have no bearing. If those colours are all the rage in the USA then he will get a good price. If they are not then I would haggle saying that you hate the colours and would have to spend money changing them and make an offer to reflect this. He will ether take it or leave it.

Hi Folks -

As an update, I bought the car. Actually traded it for my "1956" Westfield Lotus XI. The car is fantastic - from what I've been able to experience. It's been raining cats and dogs, and unfortunately, it has arrived with a bad passenger side half shaft, and a leak from the diff (that has a new Quaife unit in it). I think after those issues are sorted it's going to be a BLAST!

Thanks again for all of the feedback!

Titled as a '1967' Ginetta !!

Looks nicely screwed together (perhaps not with a leaky diff and shaft problem) even if 'red' is bit garish. But easy to change say to 'black' seats and 'black' s/wheel and wouldn't look anywhere near so much 'in your face' (plus you'd have a nice pair of red leather seats and matching steering wheel to flog!)
