Just thought I'ld let you all fellow Ginetta fans/owners that theres a G4 Model car available.

Website is
http://www.mmcars.info/GinettaG4.htm
and price list http://www.mmcars.co.uk/model.asp?carmanu=165

Think I might get round to doing it at some point, just a shame theres no G32's.

Justin

I think this came up a year or two ago - if you do a search in this section then you should find something... I think I may have written a post in that thread too, so I'll see if I can find anything in my history.

Yippee! Found it at last - check out http://www.slotcarportal.com/ and go to the AA bodies section. You can have a 1964 G4 Coupe built to your specification for £79 plus p&p. Mine is already on its way....

Theres only one way to find out, eh Nick ?!

Cut the roof off, trim the windscreen, add a couple of rear pipes and Bobs your uncle !!

(might order a couple in case things go wrong.......)

I always thought Ivor's came from Japan, like the 1/43 Tokura Mishima one.

Let us know what yours is like Dave when you receive it - website makes it look like a rather rough slot-car racing item than a detailed resin model.

Don't suppose you are going to Mallory are you Dave? Bit of a trek.

The whole idea was to find a G4 slotcar model - I am not into detailed models that sit in display cases gathering dust... There is also a guy in Australia who can supply a vacuum-formed G15 slotcar body plus a chassis kit.

As for Mallory, I don't think a picnic is worth the trip. If it had stayed as a track day at Curborough, we might have been tempted....
