My dad built it from a kit and has competed in the Ginetta Speed Championship with some success for the last 5 years or so.

The car was taken on a Brian James trailer from Solihull in the West Midlands on Friday night.

Spec:
4.5 Cross-drilled Rover V8 with early french blue rocker covers.
2x White 4 into 1 tubular manifolds
4x 13" x 10" Compomotive ML's (Scratched rims due to tight trailer fitment) Fitted with slicks. (from memory 2 x Hoosier, 2 x Avon)
Rover SD1 gearbox with close ratios
4x Weber DCNF 38 carbs, (matching serial numbers)
Bespoke one-piece tubular steel INLET manifold, painted red.

If anyone sees or hears anything which may be relevent please PM me.

There is a cash reward for information leading to retrieval.

I would really appreciate if you could keep your eye out for parts as this car will be difficult to shift in one piece.
Thanks for reading.

Bastards. I bet they only wanted the trailer as I cant imagine how they would hope to shift anything else.

It was taken from near Sharmans Cross mate if you know that area.
They were most likely just after the trailer I agree as the car was covered over and it is not usually kept there.

Yes I know that bit.

I live in Dickensheath, Have you had a drive around Ravenshaw area..? (by Whale tankers)

I will sweep the Country lanes of Earlswood as it's on my way home and its not uncommon to see the odd dumped car.

I have had two cars nicked, one was found in Yardley and the other in Bordsley - Although nether involed as much elbow grease and love as yours.

There is a Pikey site just outside of Wythall too, being a Trailer

Eyes peeled

Cheers for all that Donut, Pikeys are my number one suspects to be honest, with it being a trailer based theft.

Absolutely gutted for you.

You must get it back though, life wouldn't be the same without seeing it wipe the floor with the competition at Harewood while sounding like it was just ticking over. Maybe its been stolen to suss out the secret weapon that looks like half a carb stuck on the end of the exhaust.

Best of luck in retrieving the car.

That was Bill's blue G27 you're thinking of, isn't it? The stolen one is Tony's.

Thats a good point, it was Bill's with the carbs on the exhausts, They swap bits from car to car more often than I can keep track of, I'm sure you know what they're like!

Had the Police round today, as the thieves had managed to bump my mums mazda over about 7 foot to get to the trailer (parked there to block access), the Police dusted the car for prints, but sadly it appears gloves were being worn

That's too bad, Digita1dragon! It's amazing that people are willing cause so much destruction and heartache to steal the car - here's hoping Karma gets them in the end even if the Police don't.

Pity car was covered over, being that distinctive 'might' just have stopped them nicking it. Plus who wouldn't notice 'that' on a trailer!
Covered, though, nobody would take a second look.
Hope you get it back.
Strange looking back over the years that it seems the most 'nicked' Ginettas are 27s or that evolution. Odd.
