G26, too far gone or project?

Looking for a cheap long-term project for my son, about to be 18 and starting engineering. Had a project car for him lined up, which fell through. Would have been a fibreglass 1.6, although not a Ginetta. Just something that he could rebuild from the ground up and modify as he wanted.

Like the idea of another fibreglass car, we've restored one over the past few years. But no idea about the Ginetta chassis. Were they all galvanised or is this now likely to be scrap underneath?

If so is it worth a punt?

Assuming the 2.0 Pinto engine and Ford spares are at least available?

it was never registered...so no v5...nothing.....the "only" valuable part of this car (speaking about 600 quid) would be the v5....and if it would come with a v5 it would have been sold already.....the car would go into the bin and the v5 would be used for "other" purposes.

Thanks, we decided it wasn't worth that as the seller had nothing, so left it.
