I've been hankering for one of these for a while but have heard these are a bit small - how tall is too tall?

I am 6ft. 1in. and I struggled to get in, but once in I was OK but would not want to undertake a longish journey in one. My wife is 5ft. 4in. and found it a little easier, once the hard top had been removed it was somewhat better, but of course the driving position remained. Dandarez will be along shortly, he is the expert on these.

My husband is 6ft, and he was comfortable in driving us from London to Nice for a wedding, all over a weekend - and we had enough luggage room for his DJ and my dress.

Does anyone know about space in a G12 with a helmet?

I would contact Dare about this or the Owners Club.

I think there is a LWB G4, not sure about G12s.

6ft 1 too. Original G4s tight as f.
Dare G4 by comparison, comfy, no problem (oh, but I'm slim).

As for G12 with a helmet (asked above), if big bulky and tall, probably needs a roof bulge mod - like this or similar

Are you suggesting that I am anything but slim wink ?

Get the Dare G4 and live large. I'm 6 foot, 170# and it is a breeze to live with. 1,000 miles a year on nice days only.

Keep hoping an intrepid PH reporter will visit Dare at the factory and find out about the long awaited larger G12.

I'm not sure if there were differences in different years, but my Dad had a G4 round tube, he was 6' 2" and pretty hench in his day being a farmer, and he fitted in a G4 hard top absolutely fine... But maybe back in the 70s people were more used to small cars than now.
