G32 Zetec upgrade

At last I've got the time (sort of) and space to put that silver top Zetec that's been lurking in a dark corner of the garage for years into my G32. Has anyone who has done the same used a Ford inlet manifold and if so which one ?
I'd saved the plastic Escort inlet manifold that came with my Zetec but, as lovely and clean as it is, it isn't going to fit without cutting out and re-locating the chassis rail at the rear of the engine bay.

There's a long thread in the Owner's Club Forum. Someone has just started (1 month) an engine upgrade. He's gone for a blacktop so some differences. I'm not sure the GOC would let me back in (!!) so I probably won't be following that thread on the GOC forum.
The best/easiest choice I've found so far is the Ford CVH EFI inlet manifold - just my luck, my CVH had the Bosch K-Jetronic system. Other options are Weber or Omex throttle bodies and injectors OR a Rover T-series manifold with an adaptor plate.

I put a 2.0 silver top Zetec in my G32 serveral years ago. Used a slightly modified Rover 2.0 "Tomcat" Turbo manifold on an adapter plate. Rewelded the inlet port to optimize the angle of the throttle body, then put on the 2.0 Zetec throttle body on an additional adpater plate. As it got very long runners it's performance-wise surley a lot better than the original Zetec part.
I'm still doing it 8 years in... such a nightmare with a blacktop 2 litre and gearbox bell housings. In the end I got a ST170 6 speed with cable gear change and a solid flywheel conversion.
Currently in process of saving up for someone to install it properly (as it should be, rather then as the cvh was done with its twisting). I'd like to change the front suspension too so be like Hawtree's the 45 degree angle had caused issues over the years with sagging springs and then makes the car behaving mischievously.
I miss driving the girl... only car I've driven lately that came close was a bmw 318d sport. None of this electric handbrake, electric steering rubbish.

The G32 was fun, wasn't it. No frills, just drive. I was driving along a B-road, at a fair clip, when a G15 came past in the opposite direction, doing the same. I spun round and went after it, only to have it come past from the opposite direction again, this time at some speed. We eventually met, but it was a memorable, if too short, drive.
