New Design Proposal
Discussion
I've just updated my website with a few of my design proposals for the specialist industry.
I created a modern day G12 mid-engine Ginetta using a ready available chassis of the kit industry.
I see it as an inexpensive kit to manufacture and build, with a variety of engines, even bike engines for track day enthusasts.
Let me know what you think
Thanks guys for your feedback

Not sure which one it is on the drawings page....
They all look pretty awsome though, especially the top red car (how much like a girl do I sound?) that looks rear-engined.
If I could, I would like to pose a little challenge:
From my recent experience with the marque I would really like to see a modern car following the classic Ginetta lines that can be pretty water tight even with a soft / removable top (i.e. hidden external door handles). It would also be nice if it was easy and chea to produce
This is probably a little cheeky of me, but I would like to see what a good designer comes up with when given that brief: My own scribbles just don't stand up to it.

You are right the Red/orange sportscar is my Ginetta G12 design proposal, I believe it could be pretty cheap to manufacture using a known mid-engine chassis already available in the kit industry.
The design would use a fwd engine turned and placed in a mid-engine configuration. Choose any engine you think it best suits your needs, and then with very minimal bodywork you could have a fun road/track day racer.
That is the idea

I like the concept a lot though I'm not sure about the front grille as a Ginetta. Sure you've captured the oval "mouth" from the G4, G12, G16, G20 G27, G33 etc but its not the first thing to strike you. For me you'd need to lose the lower integrated splitter/spoiler and make the oval more prominent. I think if you take the G badge off the front it could be anything. Ginettas are special and should be instantly recognisable without needing to search out the badge.
As for economical to produce/build I suppose a lot depends on how many original parts are on the car and how many main stream "parts bin" components can be used (e.g.) front lights

I agree with you, I will simplify the front end and will post a new rendering soon.....
