Dare G4 every time. But then I'm bias. As everybody knows!

But be fair, what else has Monroe curves like this?

You pull up in an Elise and nobody notices.

You pull up in this and everybody gawps. biggrin

If I'd run DARE I would have just kept building 4s. Forever!

I have no idea how a dare G4 compares to a Elise, only have test driven some elises and Exige.
a G4 is more minimalist I guess, maybe a bit more 'pure' ?

I love their shape, but a bit 'scared' how to live with if it was your only car, also non or just a few LHD (coupe)

I also love the G12, but also with those, as a one and only car a bit to much maybe? also not many of those and even less or non? in LHD but what a car.

oh and remember Mark walklett blew away the elises in racing, with his zetec G4.....

Everyone likes my G4 and ask what it is.

Any news from Dare?

Hi,

I tried to contact them by mail few months ago and sadly got no response.
Their Zetec G4 is the only car I'd really consider to replace my '99 Elise 111S...

If you want to contact Dare give them a ring. Sometimes they can be slow with emails.

Did you get hold of them?
Was thinking of them over the weekend and checked - Dare (UK) Ltd is still registered with companies house and up to date with the books.
Wondering if I can get a LHD registered in France.

I just saw this (way too late): https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...
Amazing estimate for auction car - £22 - £26k. Had I known, I'd have had a look - as it would be 'F&F' in France.

Any idea what it sold for and who bought it?

Does anyone know what race series the Dare G4 could be eligible for?

I'm sure there's a few Championships you could race one in 750MC

Thanks Yazza. I am sure they are all lovely people but those classes do seem to be 'run what ya brung' random. Would an older one qualify for a classic series?

CSCC Modsports and Special Saloons and CSCC Open Series

Possibly CSCC Modern Classics (for 90s cars, where you may be up against Elise and Ginetta G20s) or New Millenium (for post year 2000 cars)

Possibly 750 Roadsports, 750 Club Enduro, 750 Sports Specials,

Possibly MSVR Track Day Trophy

I doubt it with a Zetec engine.

Switch to a Lotus Twin Cam and it may be possible to run it in CSCC Swinging Sixties, just call it a Ginetta G4 rather than a DARE!
