It could have been had a bit cheaper last week on eBay - being flipped by a dealer by looks of it.

Hi James. Are you saying this was on ebay 'cheaper' than this dealer?

I actually dropped by to 'buy' (prospective purchaser) many years ago (this actual DZ) on the way back from Essex - it resided west of London. Sadly nobody was in.

Looks like the car has had a respray - at first I nearly jumped up as I thought it might have been Chris Meek's DZ when I saw the yellow... nah, it's gold, so I calmed down and realised which DZ it is.

It's this one. Identified by the 'gold' interior, 'gold' front wing now 'purple' - and more important, where are the door side screens and the essential natty flip up softtop and rear top?

So my thoughts. A respray and 'new' wheels - why? - accident? Who knows.
I'd be interested but no way at this price.

Just checked history. Passed MOTs regularly, one fail 12 years ago - current MOT 11 Oct, but previous MOT to that was 4 years earlier, so must have been off road or sorn for this period. Why?

Yes was on eBay a week or two or go at a different dealer. They had posted on Facebook
asking if anyone knew what it was etc. They stated they had recommissioned it with a new respray and wheels etc after a four year lay up.

It appears that it may have been bought and is now being sold on by another dealer for a good mark up.

Hi James.

Yes, I've now found all that. They won it for £11,100 so a (un)fair mark up!

Apparently the same place recently bought another specialist car and marked it up. It backfired on them as it didn't sell and they had to drop it right back down!

Be interesting to watch how it goes.

In the original ebay listing it shows part of the softtop rear window bit in place, but not the flip-up roof part. Perhaps it's in the boot? The alloys are real cheapy £299 a set Dynamics Cyclones with budget tyres. The original 6 spoke alloys are very difficult to find. Made in South Africa. Wonder what happened to them?

The dealer the Dare DZ is with also had my original G20 in stock this year - I guess it must have sold. It was on for more than I sold it for back in 2005?!
