Hi

Noticed in my car (2.0 duratec version) the offside front tyre rubs on the exhaust cover when turning right. Anyone else had this? Presumably just a case of loosening and trying to push exhaust back a bit towards footwell.

Thanks
James

Noticed this on my car today, let me us know how you get on with it. I need to have a good fiddle about with the exhaust its the worst rattle on the car.

There just isn't much tolerance. I undid all the connectors from the front sill back and took the pipe out that runs under the driver side and the pipe that loops past the suspension to the rear box. Then I was able to loosen the connection in the engine bay to the pipe which passes the front wheel and push this back towards footwell.

Trouble is if you do this and put it all back I found them re tail pipe ends up touching the body. So it is all about gradually adjusting and seeing if you can get clearance at all points. Mine is ok now but still v tight on front wheel only clearing by a few mm. I am sure you can get it better with more time and patience! Makes a loud rattle if the exhaust touches the chassis at the front of the rear wheel arch so check for clearance there too.

Do you just have a rattle or does the exhaust touch the tyre on right hand lock?

Good luck with the adjustments!
