Well i did the unthinkable and stuffed the front of my G20 into a pole. Does anyone know any source for a replacement Bonnet. Will be costly to ship to US but can't think of an alternative at the moment. thanks

Hello,

Did you find a supply for body parts? I crunched mine as well.

I didn't however I got an email from another poster saying:
Anyway what with running a G20 as a trackday car I've kept tabs on potential bodywork suppliers in case my enthusiasm exceeds my talent at some point... There's a Ginetta racer by the name of Mark based near Coventry, UK whom I've spoken with a couple of times for advice running my car & it came out in conversation that he was working on a set of G20 bodywork moulds to be able to supply parts. Might be worth contacting him for a bonnet - all I have is a cellphone number for him XXXXXXXXXX.
Not supposed to post contact info on public forum but if you PM me I'll give it to you. and if anything works out please let me know.

I meant Mark's details, better not to have them displayed on a public forum. If people post on the thread enquiring better to share such things by private message.

Foggy did as instructed but didn't you say PM feature wasn't working. If that's the case should i leave my email address in public forum? I can't recall how you got my email. maybe in my profile? Getting older and more confused by the day. Probably contributed to bonnet crunch in the first place.

Yes I made contact via your work website in your profile as the PM system was playing up after PH switched over to this new format. All seems to be up & running again now.

I believe about 2 weeks ago , the factory was offering the moulds for sale and they had to be out by the end of that week. Presumably a buyer was found so you could contact the factory to see who they were sold to and then contact them.

I was able to purchase a bonnet from the source i mentioned about a month ago. a huge ordeal and expense getting it to the US but it looks good and is being fitted to the car. Its nice to know the factory is selling it as well. BTW. since i was paying for the shipping i purchased the RadTech large capacity radiator for the G20 and that came looking great as well. About to be installed. looks like easy fit and much more capacity than stock unit. i was having a temp problem possibly due to stresses of forced induction and added under bonnet temp of turbo.

Thank you. Good to know. I did't realize the factory still stocked any parts for the G20.

You may see another G20 in the US sometime next summer.

I'm in Germany and plan to make a trip to the UK soon to look at a G20 ex-racer to purchase for track use.

I was interested in a spare bonnet because I am contemplating a much different engine choice that will likely require some fiberglass surgery of sorts.

Hi - I own the factory G20 bonnet mould and I've had a run of new bonnets made. If anybody is interested please get in touch. They are for sale at the same price as the factory sold them at and made to the same standard. I can ship anywhere worldwide and of course assist with shipping. I don't visit pistonheads much, so a phone call is probably the best way to contact me. I also have a few other bits and pieces left over from my days racing G20's. Stuart 07940404084.

Thanks Foggy,

It isn't beyond saving, but it needs some large repairs I wasn't aware of.
