My 2003 Dare G4 long body (8,000 miles--largely pleasant) has had the right rear caliper seize and needs to be replaced.
Does anyone know how I go about finding a replacement caliper? What the part is from, etc.?
I will call Dare tomorrow, but thought those in the know could offer insight.
I'm in the USA.
Dandarez are you out there?

I have a 2000 G4 and my rear calipers are Ford Sierra Cosworth (non vented). You can buy new from www.rallydesign.co.uk, part number CAL001 for £159 for a pair plus carriage.

Thanks for the advice!

My mechanic traced the caliper to a Merkur which is the American version of Sierra Cosworth.

Again, thanks a bunch. I am hoping to drive it a bit more before it is retired for the Midwestern winter!

Hello John! Glad you got the advice you needed.
Never heard of a Merkur, that I have to admit is a new one on me. American Sierra Cosworth, eh?

And I thought a Merkur was something you had a shave with! hehe
