There is a lovely looking G21S for sale on Car & Classic.

http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C512960

It's only the second one I've ever noticed for sale.
Does anyone know anything about these lovely looking cars? Does anyone own one? If so, what are they like to drive and live with?

Regards,

Chris

Wasn't the G21 also available with a ford V6 or is my memory playing tricks on me ?

They were available at the same time as the TVR 3000 M 'Martin limited run'

Always liked these and Gilburn Invaders but TVR topped my motoring wish list just ahead of Lotus.

What is it with ma and plastic cars.

They only ever made one with the Essex V6, although at least two now have the Cosworth 4-cam V6.

Mine is the nearer yellow one, pictured at the old Ginetta factory in Sudbury:

That's a great photo. Thanks for posting it.

What type of chassis and suspension do the G21s have and do they handle as well as Elans as the ad suggests?

What are the cars like to drive and live with? What is the dashboard like?

Could you post some more pics please?

Many thanks,

Chris

As it is in that condition its worth £3k not 7k?? A respray alone will cost 2-3k and it will need chassis work and re-wiring I suspect. Once restored they are nice cars if a little noisy to drive. Engines are torquey but dont like to be revved so they dont really point and squirt but they do handle pretty well on Herald / Spitfire (Lotus used) suspension. Nice cars once sorted but I'd guess at least 5k would be needed to get that one to a high standard then it would be worth 7k.

A yellow one is now up for auction towards the end of the month.

It'll be interesting to see what it's bid to.
