Hello folks, bit of a long shot, but I'm trying to source suitable anti-roll/sway bars to fit a G33V8. I know that a few cars left the factory with them, and that a few people fitted after market items. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be most grateful!

Thanks Ian, I used to be, but the car was stored in 1998 due to work commitment overseas and only now being resurrected so sadly my membership lapsed years ago. I'll check out the club site now.

Ive got one laying about in the shed- never much liked it as it made the front suspension less complient and make the scuttle shake a lot worse in the process. I would not recommend one for general road use.

Blitzracing: Hi Mark, I have no plans for road use, but hoping that it will reduce body roll and help to eliminate the unequal roll-centre issue for the track. If you're willing to sell it, then I'd be very happy to take it off your hands and give it a try!

Let me know.

Have you done the mod on the uprights to improve the roll centers? It greatly reduces lift of oversteer if nothing else.

Yes, but 4mm not 6mm. Chassis bracing/strengthening is also done, and the chassis galvanised. Custom roll bar with door bars/braces also help rigidity and along with the hardtop almost entirely eliminate scuttle shake under most conditions.
I'll post some pics later.

Still interested ion the anti-roll bar if you want to sell...

Im a little loath to part with it on a permanent basis, but you are quite welcome to fit it and see if it has the desired effect. It would not be difficult to fabricate another one if it works.

Can't get at the engine whilst on the trailer, but for info I'm running a 4.5lt John Eales Engineering. 315bhp, 415lbft on four twin choke downdraught Dellortos, tubular stainless exhausts. Standard transmission and brakes.

Thanks Mark, I suspect it would be fairly easy to get a duplicate made if I had dimensions and a couple of photos. Would that be possible?
Caterham cars tell me they have various 18mm bars in stock which may be adapted to suit - dimensions might lead me to the closest match.

Many thanks for all the help!

Hi, I recently saw this post and was interested in where you got the hard top for your G33.

Maybe it came with the car?

Anyway, I am interested in finding or making a hard top for my car and saw yours.

Regards, Dan

Hi Dan,

About 15 years ago Martin Pfaff called me to let me know that another owner had commissioned fibreform to create a hard top for him. Martin knew that I was interested in one too so passed on the contact details to me. In the end I think two or possibly three were made. Sadly I don't have any more info to give you. I believe one of the others is on a red/maroon G33.

Hi, thanks for the information.

I found this: http://www.gkdsportscars.com/ginetta_g27_upgrades....

Which seems to have the same shape/mold except of course for the windshield header and front side glass area.

I have contacted to see if anything is still being made or can be made. I have everything needed to modify.
