So, a G40 'Club' will cost £24,250 (+vat) and includes a comprehensive package to go racing, attend events, this and that, as well as being able to use it as your road car - working out at almost exactly the same price as that of simply buying a G40R road car?

why would you buy the G40R road car - or have I missed something?

saw an article in autosport about it, seems to be a lower specced car apparently more suited for novice track / race use.

Sounds like a good package if you got the money to burn. Although nothing would beat a nice comfy 4x4 or van with your tools, spares and a trailer (just incase for the drive home).

Certainly out of my league, although it wouldn't it be better to do time attack then to actually compete in a race?

I guess that's what the G40r is for? I quite enjoy the camaraderie that comes from talking about a race and that overtake, or that corner rather than just that time.
