Hi All,

Although I'm not going to be in a position to buy for at least 2 years, is there somewhere I can try one on for size in the South East? Being 6'1 and as I've never seen one up close I really can't tell if I'll fit properly.

Cheers

If you're after an 'original' 60s G4 you won't fit (I'm just over 6ft and slim and couldn't).
However, with later 'Dare' G4s I had no trouble whatsoever.
Also, you'll have to empty your wallet a bit more for a 60's car.

Problem with both is finding one for sale!

My initial interest was at an original, however sounds like I won't fit!

I'm not going to have the sort of money for either for at least a couple of years yet anyway.

Thanks for a quick response!

At a modest 5'10" I only just fit. Possibly the only hope you would have of fitting
into a 60's G4 would be with no roof, a very small diameter steering wheel and a
modified pedal position.

hi there!
at 6'1 you will stuggle in an original G4, although square tube chassis may have very slightly more leg room
In mine we modified the rear bulk head tubing + foam seat, and moved pedals forward as much as poss without chopping any chassis tubes, also made new pedal box to maximse legroom... and its still space is quite limited.

I belive Dare can modify the chassis and engine mounts to relocate master cylinders so pedals can be even further away.

Headroom is never an issue due to bubble top, but somewhat noiser and more claustraphobic!

(im 6 ft tall)

I'm a heavy 6 footer.

When I tried to get into an early round tube with a roof I pulled off the door rubbers on the way in, and once in was excruciatingly uncomfortable. Roof off in a square tube or Dare and I'm fine...given the right seat.
