1'm told that the chap advertising this used to make them, so maybe he knows where you might get one......

the original moulds for the G4/S4 or G27 arent existing anymore.
a quick search around PH came to that:
The bonnet moulds were kept by Ginetta when I (GKD) bought the G27 project from them back in 2005. For obvious reasons Martin did not want me to compete against the G20 with the same look bonnet! Apparently the earlier bonnet moulds (pop up lights, etc.) for the G27 were lost in a fire.
Spadge Hopkins from Ginetta Heritage fabricated its own bonnet for the G4/S4. he took an original G4 bonnet, widened it to fit on the larger G4/S4 or G27 and fabricated a mould of that.
this all happened shortly before he closed his business. no idea what hapend to that mould.
anyway...this all doesnt help you too much, also i doubt that there is still a mould existing.
there is a guy in the south-alsace doing fibreglass panel reproduction for alpines and porsche...

Nothing has happened to my bonnet.
In fact I prefer the 60's style bonnet or the G27 one shown in the picture.
When Spadge has closed his business I did not bought his 60's style bonnet on ebay because I had other matters to do with. /
A few monthes ago I was about to make my bonnet modified in order to accept a NASCA air induct. So I would have prefered to do it on a bonnet I prefer. But can't find one.
Concerning fiber glass reinforced my father in law is a "specialist" as he has restored several Alpines.
Here is my bonnet with the horrible air induct (was made for vertical carb but have horizontal ones) :

I might be wrong, but I was under the impression that when Spadge closed his company, all moulds etc went back to Ginetta and have remained their since.
what made you believe that the moulds went back to Ginetta? copyright reasons?i´m still wondering why ginetta heritage was closed...

I am told that all the moulds, jigs etc that Ginetta Heritage had went back to Sheffield. They are in storage somewhere - it really needs the GOC to get in there and help them catalog what they have, otherwise they will end up getting 'lost' over time. As far as I am aware, Ginetta Heritage had everything that LNT acquired from Martin Phaff, which included moulds for the G32 (as Spadge did make some repair panels for me) and most of the older cars. i´m still wondering why ginetta heritage was closed...
but what i dont understand is: as i understand all the parts from GH are now in possession of Ginetta?
so, when all the moulds are with ginetta, why they are refusing to do any remanufacturing of body panels and even do not tell potential clients the truth that those parts are in their posession and why has the GOC not tried to get access to those parts?
or did i get something wrong?

seems to be a question of economics.....demand and supply, etc.
I believe a few individuals as well as the GOC have been discussing the situation with LNT re the availability of moulds/spare parts for the older Ginettas without success...seems that Ginetta Cars are concentrating heavily on their race cars/series, and an occasional trickle of requests for help with 'outdated' models is not seen as a 'business opportunity'....

I offered to act as custodian for moulds for both the G22 and G32, as we have space here. This is what I was told on 6th July 2012:
Hi Nina and David,
Just wanted to reply to your e mail regarding the moulds. Currently Ginetta Heritage is not operating in any kind of way which is sad and I dearly would love someone to take it on as part of their business and keep this in order going forward. All the moulds came up here a year or so ago but are mainly not identifiable to us as we don’t have a heritage expert here.
I would be open to suggestions but in reality would probably want to keep all the moulds together for obvious reasons. If you can identify any moulds and wish for panels to be made this is not an issue as we have a couple of companies who can do this easily.
Kind regards,
Simon Finnis

I replied by saying that I am sure that I thought the Ginetta Owners Cub would be willing to help catalogue the heritage moulds and put them is some kind of order. I am not able to help in that, being based in the North East corner of Scotland, but I did suggest that there are people living close to the current factory who I am sure would help – I received no reply...
