I'll send an e-mail, but for the benefit of others hopefully reading this the CSCC have decided that the G20 will be eligible for the new for 2013 "Modern Classics" series and it will fit in to the 1600-1800cc class where I'd expect them to be pretty competitive, both in class terms and against bigger, heavier and lessy "slippy through the air" cars in the bigger capacity classes.
40 min races with a 30 min practice session. Can have one or two drivers as there is a compulsory pit stop in the races (no refuelling). If you have a single driver then you have to get out and get back in again.
The G20 is eligible on the basis that it is "in the spirit of the series regs" and it is based on the G27 which was a pre 31 Dec 1999 car. As far as I remember the GOC consider the G20s to be direct descendents therefore its in!
I am hoping that a few G20s come out to play, and I may well try and get one myself to race in this series even though I am the series co-ordinator.
Cars can be modified from the Ginetta Challenge spec if wanted but the standard bodyshell size and shape has to remain along with the Zetec type engine and the Mk9 type gearbox. (If someone wants to fit a 2 litre Zetec then they can but it will be in the 1800-2500cc class. The series runs on any List 1B tyres in CSCC races.
I reckon that a G20 should be a good car for this series as they are cheap to buy and run and spares are easily available and they are quicker than a G40 on the same tyres, too! (Note G40s are not eligible for MC, it was just a general comment!)
Details of the series can be found here: http://www.classicsportscarclub.co.uk/modernclassi... or please feel free to ask on here.
Hope that helps.
Andy
PS. I should explain that the "Modern Classics" series has been designed to replace the CSCC's "Deutsche Marque" series which ran for the last 2 years. DM didnt quite get the grids that was hoped for and was too restrictive in only allowing german cars - we have opened it out to all makes in response to customer demand. The MC series is designed for over 2 litre saloons (which are not eligible for our "Tin Tops" series) AND Sports and GT cars of any capacity in a class based series. The MC series is designed for car model types that were generally introduced Pre 31 Dec 1999 (ie if you have a 2002 car but the model was introduced in 1999 its OK).

I'm fairly sure that the g20 has a 30 litre tank. My experience of a 2.0 litre g40s is that they use 0.6 to
0.7 litres of fuel per minute in britcar races and therefore I'm assuming that the g20 will be similar or maybe slightly less, given that they are lighter, lower frontal area and 200cc less. Given that there is a pit stop in CSCC races where the car will be stationary for approx a minute I reckon the tank size will be okay. Just!

I ran a G20 in MSVR Trackday and Team trophy, You can run for 50 mins before you start to get surge , I added in a 3ltr swirl pot next to the tank and managed to complete hour long races, unfortunatly I am sticking a 3 litre Jag engine in mine this year so wont be eligeble for your series
