I guess it depends on how you define a flop. They don't plan to sell many. So as long as they sell what's planned then thats fine. The market is not good for any sportscar at that price point, particularly a litle known manufacturer, most will go for a boring 911.

I've been keeping my eyes open for a G60. Have they actually sold any 'real' ones and are they on the road yet?

Thought so, too. Then bought a G60 and changed my mind meanwhile. Nothing is more boring, than a car does not work 95% of the time.
Anybody here, who wants to give his boring 911 in exchange ?!
Thats not good, what issues have you had?

911 is still boring IMO, its just too common, like a fast company car, I see as many new 911's as I see new 5 series bmw's or Audi A6's.

But its shame you are having issues with your G60. How long have you had it for?

LNT - get it sorted! Don't give Ginetta the reputation TVR had for un-reliability.

Very sad to hear the poor quality predictions have come to pass. It is the hardest thing to do to make a reliable, low volume car. I did write a few emails to Ginetta about quality with suggestions on mitigating the risk, but it seems after a good start they ploughed in and made the same mistakes as many, now defunct outfits, TVR included. I only hope they put more resource into recovering the situation. Sounds like the mentality of the sales people (numerous complaints on PH) and the road car people are not very "customer-centric". I wish them all the best, its a tough market to find work at the moment.

It's a shame to hear this and the lack of responses in the G40R thread as I'm sure LNT really is trying to get it right.

It's good to see though that HHC have a G40R demo now so hopefully things will start to improve but it appears a recurring theme is lack of response from anyone, irrespective of department, to any questions or inquiries.

This is sad news, and not a good PR story for ginetta. I have generally kept quiet on the subject but i have attempted to buy three cars from ginetta in the last 3 or 4 years, the latest (and last) attempt being this month and on all three occasions it has been like pulling teeth. I won't go into details but if anyone from Ginetta is reading this you have to sort out you customer service - treating paying customers with utter contempt as your sales department have done to me is a hiding to failure. I have had three ginettas in the past but no more it seems. I'm not telling tales on a pubic forum, i have expressed my views directly also - not that i get any response.

Recurring theme. I had similar issues.

Its a shame! I have to say that LNT generally seems to have a good business head, but doesnt seem to geta grip of the sales and customer care side, and that is vital in the long run.

Ginetta tweet suggests it's off to the Top Gear live thingy.

Sad to read about customers and potential customers having issues. Quite fancy the G40...

So did I, and I was a serious customer with cash to spend, I'm not the only one either, I know of two others who were planning on buying one only to be put off by the same thing. Maybe they just need a dealer network and not deal with the public directly as they sure as hell are not good at it in my experience. Who can afford to throw away that cash turnover in these times?

I thought HHC now had a G40R demonstrator. Surely you could approach them to save dealing with the "relevant" person at the factory.

Wow, I didn't realise the discontent was so widespread. A superb product with poor aftersales service can survive, as can a less than perfect product with outstanding customer service, but an unreliable product and shocking sales and aftersales service is going nowhere fast. Its beggars belief that people think they can run a business this way. Stick to race cars would be my advice. Putting in a fast lap time counts for very little when you are deaf, pi$$ wet through and standing by the side of the road waiting for the AA.

Hi guys,
My name is Mike Simpson, i look after the sales at Ginetta Cars.
I am very sorry you have not had success in contacting Ginetta with regards to car sales, this is not acceptable.

Please feel free to email me direct on mike.simpson@ginetta.com or call me direct on 01133 854171, i will be more than happy to help you.

We are really happy with the road cars currently. The G40R is starting to sell and gather some momentum, currently 6 cars have been delivered in the UK with a further 2 on order, currently we have in build cars for Japan, Singapore and France.

I would like to think the sales process at Ginetta is a great experience as we offer a full tour of our fabulous manufacturing facility in Garforth followed by a test drive when possible.

Thank you for your support
