My French isn't up to much, but is this seriously a Ginetta G27 up for sale for £22,000 ????

Ok, it's got a rover V8 (!!!) but still, that seems a little overpriced to me.

Ahh... the joys of EU beaurocracy. The car is £1000, the other £21k is the cost of road registering etc, etc, etc.

interesting is the following:

"cette Ginetta a pour particularité d'êtres en carte grise Française normal"

which means: this ginetta is unusually registered on a standard french registration.

normally such cars cannot be registered in F on a standard registration. these cars might be able to register with a "historic registration" (carte grise historique)...but than you need to prove that the car is "really" built in 1979...which you can´t.

so i pressume this french registration is kind of dodgy.

nothing unusual in france: item advertized for 20k...finally sold for 12k..still a lot ...or maybe still advertized in 2 or 3 years......

also check the cindition of the car:

untidy , dirty enginebay, rust wishbones, funny homemade airfilter, still on iron cast exhaust manifolds...worn and dirty interior...only a few pictures, nothing from underneath, or any clear details...on the other side: why more details? the enginebay and interior speaks more than thousand words. pictures taking in rain...typical backyard dealer "tricks" to hide paintwork mistakes!!!

5k (pound) would be ok. add another 1k for the registration= 6k pound=7.5k euro

Worth...

It is striclty impossible to register it correctly under "carte grise normale", the only possible way is "carte grise collection" for cars over 30 years. This beeing said, authorities in France do NOT recognize the age of the donor car for that, only the first registration of the completed car.

I let you conclude on your own.
