Sad News, John Taylor a well know Club Member and G Owner.
Discussion
Nykola asked me to inform the GOC members and Ginetta friends of some devastating news from the weekend.
On Saturday her dad and our great friend John Taylor sadly passed away.
John was one of the most welcoming of Gineatta Club members seen at most Club events with the BBQ smoking away which he had made from a beer keg.
John has left Nykola, her mum and little Jo Jo and sadly only quite recently the Taylors also lost Simon Jo Jo’s single father and Nikolas older Brother.
Fran said to me last night that John was one of the nicest most genuine gentlemen she had ever met, which I think is a lovely way to remember him.
He was certainly one of the best and will be sadly missed.
A funeral date has not been set yet but I’m sure many of us will want to attend in the near future to pay our respects to the Taylors.

That is very sad news.
My condolences to you on your loss, Nykola, and family.
John was one of those rare breed - kind, nice, gentle, but ever the hardworking soul.
I remember the first time I met him all those years back (with daughter Nykola driving the G15) at a far entrance to the Stoneleigh Kit Car Show, their first endeavour to the Ginetta club, they needed some advice and direction to the club area.
Seems like yesterday.
Awful news.

Terrible news, my sincere condolences to all. This is a motoring forum and we sometimes get hung up on cars and their problems, but every now and again something happens which opens your eyes to the more fundamental important aspects of life.
On the plus side our love of stupid cars often brings us together with like minded interesting and generous people whom we wouldn't expect to meet in life otherwise, and for me John was one of them.
Makes my engine going bang last night insignificant. Best wishes.
