Hi all.

Am currently in the market for a kitcar which will be used on sunny days and track days. I've basically narrowed it down to either a g27 ginetta or a fisher fury. (5k budget)

My only issue with the ginetta is that it looks a bit dated. My opinion on it is a different set of wheels would really change its looks.

Does anybody have any pics of g27's with different wheels / modifications.

Regards Alan

Look at the wheels that a G33 has, they suit the car and G27 is a similar shape. But those Fondmetals are hard to find.

The design of the G27 is a retro type design and the cars I have seen with modern wheels dont look that great.

Minilites can look good as can steelies

Thanks for the quick reply. I did think minilites would look good, but havnt really been able to find many pictures.

To be honest there doesn't seem to be much at all on g27's on google.

a g27 is a heavy car compared to a fisher...also the handling is far away from the fisher/sylva constructions.

also keep in mind the ginetta does NOT have a spaceframe chassis.

I'm not sure I agree on the handling, it depends on how it is set up. G27's do vary quite a bit though.

There's a few G20 road cars with Minilites, and they look good.

Hello, here is my G27 with "American Performance" wheels - nearly the same like Minilites, and I think it looks fine

Thanks for that. Think that looks great!

Am still undecided on the g27 at the moment. The only one available for sale has pop-up lights and I think the plastic cover version looks better.

Think I will have to wait untill I see one in the flesh.

Not in any rush. Will just keep an eye out.

are we discussing here about a live axle G27 or IRS Model?

Alan, I chose these wheels when I built my G27 as i thought that the curves suited the car. Everyone has there own view on what looks right, or wrong. I am based near Salisbury and the car has been advertised for sale this summer. If you want any info about the car and it's spec please email me.

Found this old thread... thought I'd offer up another G27 pic. See you went for a Fisher in the end though!
