Ginettas and Rotary Engines....
Discussion
does anyone know which mazda rotary engine was used in some G27s, and how many cars were made with this engine??
also the G29 thundersports, which rotary did that run?
im guessing the G27 used the unit from the Rx7 which was called the 13b (twin rotor). they can easily make upwards of 250+ hp with porting and good carb (from 1.3 litres!)
i think Mark had good success with his rotary powered racer:

haha
yes i think these engines have a bad reputation,
but in reality if well looked after are extremely reliable, thats one of the reasons they have been favoured for aircraft use.
yes fuel consumption is high, but power is easy to acheive, and they are such compact engines, with few moving parts
anyway, im just curious, as my brother is looking at an old Rx7, and then i remembered the G27s ran with a rotary, and were one of the very few sports cars to use this type of engine

RX7 is a super car. Regards the G29... I loved watching that car. Try and find some video with sound, it's incredible!!! Noisy is an understatement.yes i think these engines have a bad reputation,
