Or any Ginetta's for that matter.
I'm at 6,800 miles. What kind of adventures have you had along the way? Gone anywhere? Car have anything interesting break down?
Mine hates the heat!
I have a Dare G4, I'm nearly at 10,000 (it was 4,800 when bought), I enjoyed a trip from Framlingham (Ginetta Heritage) back to Italy, a trip from Italy to Nurburgring and return (under the rain), and I'm planning another one from Italy to Silverstone next July.I'm at 6,800 miles. Mine hates also the rain...
i drove my G4 in the rain many times.. Cant help that in the Uk, although recently you'd wonder where all our rain has gone.
Wasnt too bad except for the demisting, even found the toyos to be quite good in wet conditions.
Most 'Interesting' breakdown- when on the motorway once the throttle spring broke leaving throttle wide open, had to kill ignition and try coasting through lanes to get to the hard shoulder. Was no fun!

I restored my 1965 Round tube G4 a couple of years ago, It's done 3,000 miles since the restoration and the excitement starts when I open the motor house door. I'm ashamed of such low usage and your topic motivates me to use my car more. I replaced the glass fibre interior with alum panels and powder coated my chassis when I restored the car so I don't have the corrosion issues and I guess the rivetted alum plates increase the torsional ridgidity of the frame even more.
The G4 is so good to drive I'm now rebuilding a 1966 square tube, ultra light weight with a Hayabusa dry sump for even more driving fun.

I have a G20 that I bought with 1600 miles on it, and now it has a bit over 8,000. I enjoy taking trips to the mountains of the eastern USA, and also took a great road trip in my brother's G20 when he bought it almost two years ago driving from Minneapolis, MN to Scottsdale, AZ (1800 miles) in a little over 2 days.

Regarding the chassis corrosion issue, in my opinion this should not be ignored.
At least read the topic in the link below.

Ha thats my car! thankfully now properly repaired and treated, and I know my G4 is not an isolated case- they are very poorly prepped underneath with regard to corrosion resistance, owners and potential buyers beware.
I totally agree that these cars need using, which is why I now use my car more than ever- 250mile drive to business meeting yesterday, just an example! I am now deaf however...
