Dragging up an old thread here but I've just been down there to get new tyres, I think I was in and out in 15 minutes, brilliant! Not the friendliest place though really.
The only not so good thing was I called to check they had Falkens in, got there and they said they didn't have any. Came away with Kuhmos instead.

So... I'm fortunate to live 2 mins away from Martins. I thought I'd add my experience in case it's of help. I have been going there (but not always there) for 20 years with three cars.
Service is terrific. It looks like a tiny place where you might think they may not be expert, but in fact they've been around yonks, are very busy and therefore experienced and have a super slick operation. They're quite used to dealing with enthusiast cars as well as the daily drivers. There was an R8 in there this morning as well as my porker.
They keep better stocks than many places and can order in other sizes very quickly. I ordered some N4 spec Michelins on Saturday and they were ready to fit Monday morning. During the week they can get these same day.
Pricing is always at least competitive and frequently the best price you'll find anywhere.
They have three/four bays outside so there can be a wait as they are very popular, but they can also advise when is a quieter time. They check rims before removal for damage, fit carefully (never had any rim damage) and are also careful when they use the air guns to avoid damage to bolt wells.
Very slick and efficient. Tyres set to pressure or your choosing and they hand check torques (but mention if you know your bolt torque and want it set to that specifically otherwise they go more with a generic torque).
The only downside I used to mention was that they only did manual alignment and I was never that confident in results, but they do apparently have computerised alignment (not sure what rig and have not tried yet).
In my experience they focus on great customer service. I've been in and a quick puncture repair and never worry that they'll be trying to sell me something I don't need. I'm not connected with them other than as a customer, but can recommend wholeheartedly.

No I'd agree with that.
I've been going there for years and never had a problem. They have always been very competitive on price as well.
Plus they don't try to sell you things you don't need. A few years ago they repaired a run-flat for me - most places won't even consider repairing them - and I got over 10,000 miles out of it afterwards with no problem.
A month ago I had a friend staying and she'd had a tyre on her Mini that kept losing air. Took whipped it off and cleaned up the corrosion on the rim for £15 and it's been fine since then.

Total agreement from me. Taken Ford's, Vauxhalls Audis BMWs with run flats, TVRs and the Land Rover. Always the best price and they get the tyres in within a couple of hours if you time it right.
And most important of all is they have never damaged a wheel yet.
Couldn't recommend them enough.
