As some of you may or may not know, we purchased Graeme's old Chim off of him back in July of this year.
It's a lovely Chimaera with some very sensible modifications carried out by Graeme himself such as moving the battery to the boot (for people like Andy
) and the addition of a low slung scoop on the bottom of the clam that was originally fitted to house an Oil Cooler but helps aid high speed stability and keeps the car a bit cooler in the summer.
Anyway, this Saturday just gone I pulled into a parking bay at no more than 2mph and managed to catch the front scoop on the kerb which promptly shattered the fibre glass and made a bit (a lot) of a mess of the scoop. Apart from feeling a complete tit, the car looked very sorry for itself so I ended up feeling sad everytime I looked at the bloody thing.
I gave Graeme a ring who very kindly offered to get it sorted for me ASAP so my Brother and I dropped it over to him on Sunday evening. Fast forward to Midday today, I had a text telling me that the car was all fixed and awaiting collection.
I have to say, the car is looking fantastic! I don't know what yoda did to it, but it involved painting the lower part of the front clam, lots of fibre glass and some aluminium to reform the scoop. The paint match and finish is absolutely spot on, I couldn't be happier.
So a huge thank you to Waxwork Jock for doing such a great job and at such short notice. His work is top notch and I'd highly recommend him to anyone.
Oh before I forget, he also took the bother to clean the stepper motor for no charge whilst the car was in his possession too. What a gent!
Sadly, I don't have any photos of before & afters but for anyone going to the Sunday Service I have some pretty impressive pieces of smashed fibre glass in the boot just to give you some idea of how bad it was...

I'm waiting to see the update from Blues on the Chim, saw it when it was work in progress and it looked rather bloody good.
My Chim is progressing very well, but as i keep adding jobs to his list,(and the poor chap has been in for knee surgery) we are still a couple of days away from completionIt won't be long now... and then on to the Tuscan
