Guys, you might be able to help, I'm looking at a possible relocation to a job in Ascot, so far all I can afford is a dog kennel, anyone any ideas where to look that'll get me something habitable for £1000 max?

cheers

I assume you mean £1000, otherwise a kennel for £100 is pretty reasonable!

Are you thinking of driving or getting public transport?

driving would be the preffered option

Then I'd look at places like Warfield/Winkfield/Windsor/Old Windsor/Egham/Englefield Green as you'll be going in the opposite direction of all the commuter traffic.

I'm in Old Windsor and can do Ascot in 10 minutes in peak times, whereas Ascot to Old Windsor would take up to 45.

Have a trawl through property finder et al and stick up what you find for area advise from the locals on here.

Oh, and try to avoid Bracknell/Slough wink

I lease a really nice one-bed, fully furnished apartment in Windsor (out towards Legoland), which also has a garage, for £780 pcm (plus bills) - have been in it 18 months and they originally wanted £850 but negotiated them down. Would be an easy commute to Ascot, and Windsor is a great place to live (tonnes of green space, lots of restaurants, close to M4 and Heathrow).

Not sure what your timescales are nor how big a pad you're looking for but I'll be moving out at the end of November?

Neil.
