There is also a lovely Spanish/Tapas restaurant on the high street here http://www.labodega-tapas.co.uk/ i don't think they have outside tables, but get one in the conservatory

NOt many pubs in Henley have outside space, they are nearly all town pubs with cvourtyards. Why do you want space, kids, dogs or just to sit in the sun? The outside space the Angel on Th Bridge has is a river frontage patio and pontoon, the Little Angel on the other side is by a cricket field if that's any use? Ah The Golden Ball, funny web site they've got, is it a pub, a wine bar, a restaurant it's impossible to tell from that 
Luscombes at The Golden Ball a touch pretentious maybe? Mind you I searched the web site and it talks about wine lists, ladies luncheons, afternoon teas and even cakes but no mention of beer! I remember years ago we boycotted the place because it was the only Brakspears pub didn't sell sell their real ale, the landlord was a right grumpy old git, reckoned that real ale went off too quickly, well it would if people didn't drink in your pub you old fool. There were hundreds of nice Brakspears pubs in the area so I guess he missed out. Probably dead now and it's a trendy wine bar by the looks of it. Mind you I see the Stoner Arms is dead too but turn left just afterwards and go up the hill to Maidensgrove, The Five Horseshoes nice place.

Do the Cromachs still run it?
Lots of great pubs in the Henley area. Not all in Henley town centre though.
