Hey fellow Buckinghamshirians,

Do any of you play golf?

I work at a certain prestigious golf club when im at home from university and am sure i could organise a golf day.

Something along the lines of;

Bacon bagette and coffee
18 holes golf
2/3 course lunch/dinner
Nice big bar with comfy sofas for some car chat after

If there are not enough people for a n official golf day, i think the club is doing some packages for about £40/person which is basically the above.

I would post the name of the club but i don't fancy some nutter hunting me down when im working next!

EdT has played the course and can vouch for it being suitable

Rico

ps. the owner has a DB9 and a Vanquish on order

yes, if 'suitable' = 'b*st*rd tough'

Can vouch for the sofas, plus quality bloody maries

Yeah, forgot to say that, one of the 'harder' courses around. Worthwhile though!

Oh the sofas! They're sooooo good. I'm going to blag them when they get new ones as they're just dreamy!

Ah yes. I must have made you it! Basically a Pago Tomato Juice, Vodka, and i normally just give the customer the bottles of Worcester Sauce and Tobasco to let them add as much or as little as required. Now thats service!

If people are interested in knowing the course, email me via my profile and ill reveal all

I'd be up for this, but I've got a bad back at the moment. The course does'nt take much guessing though if your opening post was a clue. Martin.

Hi Rico

I did read this a week or so ago, but didn't reply...

I am a pretty keen golfer who would probably join up for a day, w/ends are better though.. Almost all my holiday is taken up already with golf trips booked.

Off to Spain end of April.

I have played a few courses in your area, S'/Poges, Mentmore, Flackwell, Burnham, quite a few more..

When and where?
How many people..?

I've posted a thread on General Gassing about this after speaking to Ted. CLICK HERE

It's at Magnolia Park

I have no date in mind as of yet. I'll be around the club in a few weeks time so ill see when days are free. Probably July/August time though.

Numbers? how ever many want to... from 4 to 80/100/200... doesn't matter.

As long as you all buy me a drink at the bar i'm happy

I've played it a couple of times..

Ideal location and course for a society/golf day...

Really nice Clubhouse, IIRC they do quite a few deals and offers throughout the year. I used to get mail from them offering reduced rates and open competitions..

I could be up for this, depends when though...

Hi guys,

I'd be up for a round of golf or 2 over April sometime as I will be back from uni for 4 weeks starting this weekend! I'll warn you though, I'm no expert!

Hi Guys,

I've been unwell for the last two weeks and still not up to strength. I'm also away on other work this week and i'm in Prague () the next.

I am working next weekend on both days so if any PHers pop in ask for Andy behind the bar

If you want to set up a round give them a call (no. on website) and you'll be well looked after.

I'll be back again from June onwards so should be able to get something a bit more official sorted out in the summer.

Cheers

+1 if it's an easy round. Haven't used my golf sticks for a while though frown

Depends on your level, I know some fun courses around the Woking area, as I play them with work.

Hoebridge is a nice par3 18 holes.

OK, time to bump this again.

Who would be up for an outing on a nice par 3 course. OK, so I know this will be below many of you, but it suits my capabilities, and will give you a chance to tell me where I am going wrong.

Suggested courses:
Hoebridge Par 3 - Woking
Billingbear - Twyford
Any other suggestions?

Crikey don't get all technical. hehe

Have played there twice or so, think it has been the old course both times so happy with that, equally happy to try the new course so whatever really.
