Spotted one on the A329 Wokingham Rd this morning between the 2 BP petrol stations. He was filming Reading centre bound traffic just after the tight bend (surprise surprise).

Between 2 quite closely placed Gatsos...also Reading bound

Was a Battenburg liveried van!

Seems to like Vastern Road (was in the Sun paper on that haunt) The A4 near Fords Farm,Kings Road by the Tech college, that's where I've seen it.

It's not one of the 2 vans that normally frequent A4, Vastern Road or Kings Road - this one was new

Often one of these chaps further down the A329 (London Road) between Wokingham and the Coppid Beech Roundabout under the A329M.

There is a speed camera by the Petrol Station and teh van either sits in teh houses layby next to the camera, or at the far end on the verge by Priest avenue facing town.

They aslo often have police cars parked in the side streets to catch teh unwary who shoot by at 32mph. It is a 30 limit!

Beware and do not be tempted to speed here, closely watched by the BIB.

I've given up going that way now since they started building the big roundabout at Aborfield Cross.

Presumably now that they've reduced all the 40 limits in the area to 30, they'll need to increase their fleet of vans!

That was a friend of my mates. Crash happened at about 35mph. Don't know the exact details of what happened but the bike hit the car in the side. With the rider (My mates friend) and the pillion (The guys girlfriend) going over the top of the car closely followed by the bike.

The rider is ok not too many injuries but the girl has quite a lot of damage unfortunatly (Broken collor bone, ribs and bleeding on the brain) Nothing life threatening and she will make a full and complete recovery but is currently in IC.

My mate was actually following his friend on the bike and was one of the first on the scene.

Then your assumption of what is happening is very wrong

Gatso vans do not have lots of Police cars parked in side streets to catch the unwary, there is no need.

Something else is happening when you see lots of police units waiting

I don't think it is an accident blackspot as such. I understand it has been monitored by the 'Archer' system and I expect they have found the average speeds to be more than acceptable for that stretch so put the cameravan in to deter that behaviour.
