Was making reasonable progress at the head of a small convoy from Wantage last Saturday, and cruised up to the rear of a pootling 5-series. As I sized up for an overtake, he proceeded to put his foot down and drive enthusiastically. After a few attempts of me backing off to let him get away, and he lifting off so I caught up straightaway, I was getting tired of being rained on by stones from the resurfacing.

Had a look at the car yesterday, and the front end looks like it's been shot-blast. eek

Anyone having a play on the 4494 this weekend, make sure you leave plenty room to the car in front, or make sure you pass it quickly smile

Thanks. I nearly went for a burn down there last night but turned round halfway and went to the pub instead.

The surface was pretty good down there after the patch repairs they did following the winter I thought. Bit surprised they are doing the work.

Yeah i got a lovely stone chip on my screen from a stone flicked up by my mates bike last weekend.

Also has anyone ever seen a guy parked up at the side of the road taking pictures of cars/bikes as they drive past? I think it was a Saab that he was driving. I have seen him twice on the open hilly section nearer Wantage.
