Anyone going?

Its Supercar Sunday.

I plan to. Possibly with a little hoon before hand (not the run from Guildford Cathedral).

Reliant on my car being repaired and serviced over the next couple of days though! (Think/hope there is half a chance of that happening)

Yep, I was keeping an eye on the thread. Was going to join the convoy down but would be up for a hoon smile

I'm going also. A hoon sounds like a good idea.

Whatever you do, don't let Hewlett assist with the planning. I'm fed up with doing three point turns in impassable lanes. hehe

I may be up for this provided I get a chance to strip and clean the brakes on Saturday. Failing that, I could always borrow the Alfa... scratchchin

I'll be going all things being well, undecided on schlepping to Guildford first or not, would be happy to just go from around here if a few of us fancied it... having said that will be avec Master Cloth so will have to be a fairly moderate run down for me whichever option.

Well Mrs Cloth won't be joining us this time, Master C will probably egg me on if anything so my restraint will have to be self imposed....let's call it a soft limiter hehe

In view of the weather forecast for Sunday being wet I think I'll give a proper hoon a miss. Will probably still pootle down to Goodwood though.

I have got the car back today though woohoo After two weeks and 1160 miles in a Hyundai i10 though it feels a bit odd! Need to get my eye in again. First refresher this evening I think wink

So, what time should we arrive? I haven't been to Goodwood before, and I don't know the form.

Also, does anyone know what the rules are to get your car onto the track?

the car has to be of a fast natured pedigree wink you will need to be at good wood well before 8am if you want a chance at decent parking.

It is quite fast (0-60 < 5 seconds).

Do they decide on the gate, or do you need to prearrange things to get on the track? It isn't clear on their website.

Thanks. I'll try to phone them tomorrow.

I'd like to have a go around the track because there is a track day there in the summer that I am thinking of attending.

Getting "on the track" still only means parked up on it along the pit straight, rest of the circuit is closed off and not in use for driving around. As well as the pit straight they use the pit section and parking areas around the vitra.

i am hearing reports that the cars will be streched from the last corner to the first so there should be an almighty selection of cars on display.
as tc said you cant drive around the circuit you just park on it lol.
