Is it possible to rent a 4 post lift in our region?

Hi All,

Apologies if this is a déjà vu thread, but does anyone know anywhere it is possible to hire out a 4 post lift by the hour?

I want to replace the shocks and springs on my Shogun. On a proper lift, this would take an hour or two tops, but I unsurprisingly don't own a lift, and even if I could do it safely, there's no chance I could actually get the thing high enough up to do it with jacks and axle stands (well, I could do the shocks, but no chance on the springs).

Hence my desire to rent one! Far cheaper than paying a mechanic, and far safer than any other alternative.

the motor academy guildford would do this, haven't been there in a while but the guy was very helpful.

Only place I can think of is www.pitstartgarage.com in West London if that's not too far away. Not sure if there are any other places like this but a bit further out this direction.

Equally there must be a few local garages that would be happy to offer the same service, but so long as they're not worried about H&S and insurance etc!

The one in Park Royal would definitely be perfect. The one in Guildford looks like it probably would be as well, and is a lot more convenient to get to. Not so much info on the website though, so I'll have to wait until they open and call them.
