Saw this on the way home last night, apparently it's by the Red Road just south of Junction 3, been burning for 2 day, and expected to last at least another one... they suspect it may be arson... what a fantastic waste of tax payers money...

Remember this happening a few years back and the M3 was shut... hope they get it under control before that happens!

The M3 is open and traffic appears to be moving well.

The A30 however is a nightmare, I put the roof down and was heading out on a hoon via Waitrose but the queue goes back to Longacres at least, could be further but I turned off.

That's the golf - my wife went to Longacres and had to go through Windlesham to get home avoiding the worst.

Reading this, the report says 9 hectares, which is sounds huge, but according to the file conversion tool in google... it's not... less than a square mile.. seems like a lot more than that to me....

Loved the guy they interviewed on Eagle radio. One phrase went '...I won't be able to go to work today..' Ha ha, I'd love to hear the conversation with his boss!

This is the rear of the army ranges next to red road and the maultway leading down to deepcut. Ivegot some photos that I will put up, but can't do using my Iphone. Yesterday there was only one road closed, but that might have changed depending on the wind etc.
