New traffic calming on A4120 at Henley
Discussion
Came home tonight to see some SENSIBLE speed calming measures have been put in place on a section of the A4120 (locally called White Hill), where there have been a number of fatals there over the past couple of years.
Installed are the illuminating signs that flash up when you are over the speed limit. IMO these are far more likely to make people slow down - and more importantly pay attention to the road ahead - than receiving a NIP a week after belting down a dangerous stretch of tarmac.
Can't believe I'm saying this, but to the local road planners for thinking about safety, not revenue.
