Been reading into them, that red one is dodgy. The london one I have emailed, but there is a local one in fleet I will go and look at tomorrow..

just note thnat if the gearbox goes on one of these it is expensive. mercedes wanted to charge £3500 for the gearbox to be rebuilt on ours. it still cost half that at a transmission specialist. and a rear shock absorber on a cab is a nightmare to fit (might be easier on the coupe though), electrics can be tempremental too. nice car if all is in order though.

I notice it's in the Isle of Man... For that mileage and price it has to be worth slinging a £100 deposit down on the phone until able to get there?

Morning, sorry im just up after night shift.

Looking through all the ther suggestions now, and thanks for the advice on them. The e34 looks cool too hadnt seen that one...

Off to look at the one from my face book linky in Fleet at noon.

Ok just looked through them, either want leather and they have cloth or have the feeling they are trashed examples that have been on pimp my ride, think the sec 560 although nice is too silly on ins and parts.

I got an email from the london black car, and he says it needs wheel refrbs, ding on back bumper and few scratches, but its mechanically sound.. Now I need a trip into london to view it.

still getting to the bmw

W124s heralded the beginning of the end of reliable Mercs. Due to the cost of replacing unreliable major parts I would avoid them completely unless you lke spending money. The older W123 versions are the cars that are famous for doing a million miles, and the 230/280ce pillarless coupe is in my opinion one of the most elegant coupes ever made. The estates are legendary! If anyone has either to sell I'd be very interested.
