O2 signal issues

Has anybody else been having issues with O2s signal over the last few weeks? Mine has been really bad, especially with data and text messages for some reason. It's coming up to the end of my contract and don't want to put up with dodgy signals for another 18 months.
Not sure if it's the network or the phone, something tells me it might be the network as when I was abroad recently I had no issues.
