I'm going with Team Langousine again(local boys in Wokingham) with their own, secure camp site. I think the XLlifts have a party gong with them too.
Travelling down on Wednesday morning 07:00 Dover to Boulogne (£40 return) with Baron Bashoneov (997 S) and Lakelord (Noble). I've got a fantastic route planned, avoding all motorways and Rouen!
You are most welcome to join us. Give me a shout if you want to chat it through

I'll be heading down, prob on Thursday but early doors and back Sunday night or maybe Monday. Looks like Beasejour for us and paying for Speedchills membership (not staying in their private camping cos we are cheapskates lol). Al if the club let you down on Houx then BSJ is usually getable till late on, and at £50 is about as cheap as it gets - would be happy to try to rope you a patch off if we can as it's non allocated pitches there still.

I will be on Beasejour too, TC I had the speed chills membership last year but only went there once. Prob wont bother with it this year though.I've been slightly anxious tbh, always heard it's pretty remote and a hike into the village etc, this is why we have opted for the Speedchills thing so we can stay around the campsite more if we need to. Good to hear good things about it chaps though - just gotta sort out what crossing to use now, having been nabbed twice by les flics last year, am thinking about a Portsmouth route and shortening the odds.
I'll be in Houx with the TVRCC City Region, as per the last 8 years or so, but now with an ever dwindling number of actual TVRs. We normally head down via the tunnel on Wednesday, with an overnight stop somewhere comfortable, then arrive at LM on Thursday lunchtime. Departure is on Sunday after the finish, again with another overnight stop somewhere north of Le Mans with bloody good showers and a decent restaurant!
I'd recommend getting on site before Thursday evening so you have a chance to see the evening and night practice sessions. I can't imagine a more evocative way to feel like you've arrived at LM than watching prototypes blast through the esses as the sun sets, with a cold beer in hand.
Similarly leaving on Sunday night. I know you have to make a really quick getaway to avoid the queues, but you do avoid the pikies trashing your campsite.

Newhaven Dieppe has always been good for me. Saves mileage both sides of the channel, and some great roads from Dieppe to LM (mainly the 138 of course, but watch out, it's easy to get lost in Rouen!).Bsj was great in 07 even with the rain. We could walk through the forest and were trackside in 15 min right after arnarge before porsche curves. Toilets and showers were good too. Mini train upto the main village at bsj entrance. Also easy to walk to arnarge village from there. Maybe TC offer is a cool sugestion, that's all I would needto book is a camp site ticket for bsj, will look at Portsmouth ferry too, save the run around m25. I loved night qualifying last time, think that and my key of wine was most fun.
I have been saying for years that I want to go to Le Mans, but none of my friends have been up for it (even though they are into motorsport / work in motorsport - the whole motorsport in another country thing seems like too much faff for them). Can someone point me in the right direction? Tickets / Camping / accommodation / groups etc..? I guess most people make a week of it?

Is it Wife friendly ? Toilets showers and the like ?
Depends how practical your wife is. Toilets and showers only get 2 out of 10 on my girlfriend's scale of public convenience acceptability*, and that's at the start of the weekend in Houx! Some campsites are better than others, but they are all worse than the worst non-Le Mans campsites I've been to. I don't know how they compare with somewhere like Glastonbury, marginally better from what I've heard.Sandwiching the drunken, dusty/muddy squallor of Le Mans with a couple of hotels en route has always done the trick for us.

- Footnote: For reference, zero on the Public Convenience Acceptability scale was awarded to a hole in the ground in the Autralian outback, covered by an old wooden shed filled with enormous spiders. Ten requires copious quantities of marble, precious metal plating, and someone to hand you fluffy towels to dry your hands.
