I am the only one that thought the cop hiding in the hedge with a radar gun was a little bit coincidental? Granted it was at the edge of a village with a 30 MPH limit, and all around me were driving within that, but i still got a shock when i spotted him in there. I wonder how many of the 100+ runners got nicked?

To be honest he picked the wrong place to hide. 30 limits are generally respected by PH'ers.

"Sneaky bd" as Sanj so elequently put it hehe

When we passed him (at 30mph), it looked like he was catching people coming INTO West Meon rather than heading out of it?

He was probably catching bikes coming the other way. It's a popular route for motorcycle-induced carnage.
TBH, he looked quite surprised when all these cars came from behind him!hehe

I have come across the Wednesday night biker run during summer down that way with a mate, and they pay no respect to the village limits. We followed them up the A32 including into West Meon, but backed off as most of them had a death wish - if someone pulled out of a side road in front of them, it is going to be messy.

Not too worried about this fellar - It's the White Volvo Estate that was sat on the bridge over the M27 that's making my bottle twitch.

that was a silver P1 V70 nerd I very much doubt it would have been anything to worry about (to old to be an unmarked police car)

If I'm below the speed limit, I'm away with the fairies. Surely because I wasn't speeding, I was 'safe'..? wink

I'd like to - at this point - point out that I'm winking in the first post. I know I have chubby cheeks, but my tongue's firmly planted there I can assure you. winkwinkwinkwink
