Pies were great... Company blabla . Joking!, about 15 of us and another good night out.
Decided we need to find a local pub with no food to stop 'some people' breaking their diet promises. Royal Oak came up biggrin

Well I did only go on the M4 and A329, so it would have been hard for the council to miss those ones hehe

Discussion was left with the non-drivers to sort, who are still at the pub next door to Sweeney and Todd...

Next meal out is a fortnight away (18th), so I can see a Guinness night being next week sometime thumbupdrink

Friday is out, but Saturday might work.

Station cafe saves too much walking once off the train smile

Some of it is a bit young and trendy on a Friday/Saturday night. But out the back there is a slightly quieter old style bar to escape to.

Ascot High St choice is Bar 1, Stag, Madhatters nono, Station Cafe, Jags.

Thatched Tavern in Cheapside is great, but not close enough to the station for walking!
