I stayed here for Valentine's last year: http://www.county-hotel.co.uk/

Very nice hotel, decent rooms and rates, excellent parking, a short walk to all the stuff in town.

Went to the Spa of course which was great, also ate at a place called Yum Yum Thai which was delicious.

Went to Longleat on the way home too biggrin

It sounds a bit overly touristy, but the Bath open top bus tour was really good, and only took an hour iirc.

Went to a wedding at The Bath Spa (£130'ish); absolutely fantastic!

The Royal Crescent is also very very good but very very expensive!

A bit cheaper is Astor House (£75'ish) - however it's a 15 min walk into town hence the price.

The biggest challenge you'll have in Bath is finding rooms under £100 at short notice! Most decent Guest Houses and B&B's even, are booked up weeks in advance...

The Ayrlington is on Pulteney road, opposite my old house. Can't recommend it enough for a decent location, nice rooms and parking!

We stayed at the Royal Crescent, amazing place with a SPa but I think even the bog standard room cost £240.00.

I would rather stay in an OK place and spend the rest on a nice meal. The Wife of Bath is a really good resturant. Been there a couple of times.

If you appreciate real ales go to the Raven pub, fantastic and they have beers made specially for them. Pies look good too.
