I know they are an awesome handling car but personally don't float my boat,Far to basic interior, plus if its just a play thing/trackday car you have nearly got the dough for the big boy http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/799051.htm

Charlie, stop fking about and spend the money on the 996 Turbo, you know you'll end up getting one soon if you get something else now.
PS. I love Nobles and want one badly but I need to start being *slightly* more sensible.
If you dont get a 996 Girly Turbo ..... then I would be more then happy to add this to my garagePS. I love Nobles and want one badly but I need to start being *slightly* more sensible.

I think I've met that car and its owner on a trackday at Colerne. It is bloody fast.http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/781459.htm
Do it Charles, got a real soft spot for Nobles and have always said I would have one over the likes of a Saggy and I'm meant to be a TVR man (although I am not sure I am, think I am just a Cerbera man). VERY different kettle of chips to a 996tubby though surely? They went ferociously well at Fighting Torque, off the line just immense.
Only car i've ever driven with steering as good as a 911.
When you put your foot down all you can hear is booooost.
Twin wastegate chirps are wonderful, slightly offset from each other.
Grip is truly unbelievable, wet or dry.
Pain in the arse to get in and out of, but as long as it's not a daily driver, who cares??
Do it Charlie. If you buy the 996 turbo you'll be very happy until you get very bored. The Noble will keep you entertained for far longer IMHO.
Do it. Do it. DO IT.

Think I'm qualified to give some feedback on this. Have read the ad and my first question would be about the diff. The GTO3 and early 3R's had open diff's that are prone to breaking right in front of the rubber number 11 on the road. To replace with a quaife LSD diff means the engine has to come out and if you're going to do that then you may aswell do the clutch etc etc. Big bill. Superb car with the best handling but avoid if it has an open diff.
Bit extra money but I know this car well and not only has it been meticulously looked after (would give Dizee a run for his money) it also has the LSD, six speed box (The GTO3's are 5spd) and M400 linkage.

I can say for certainty that you won't be dis-appointed with any of the models whether it be M12, GTO3, 3R or M400, just spend your money wisely and if you want any further info, drop me a line.
