I was going into Wokingham, just past the Coppid Beach Hotel, at about midnight last night, and there was a grey Ford Galaxy type car parked up on the verge with a round rear-facing camera pointing at the traffic.

Anyone seen that before or know what it was?? Didn't have a scamera sticker on it so was thinking it was probably ANPR....

Probably ANPR which I agree with, did you notice any BiB later on?

Local Authoritis are also using camera survelance and covert equipment for monitoring all sorts of things such as anti-social behaviour and fly tipping.

We live in a survelance society now.

TRL used to have a similar car, I have seen it at the scene of a couple of prangs in the past - no idea if this is the same one though. The ANPR van that ususally covers Bracknell area is a green Leyland Sherpa - or whatever they are called now....

Leyland Sherpa - I feel for the driver those vans are rubbish.
Hired one a few years ago as the firm was out of Sprinters, the gear lever came out resulting in me having to drive it all the back from Didcot to Woking in third gear...

My grandad had a Sherpa camper 'back in the day' - my lasting memory is the rattle from the engine, did Leyland really design it that way!!!!!

Saw something similar to this near the golf place in the middle of the round-a-bout in Bagshot a couple of weeks back. Was a white un-marked Sprinter with a bunch of cameras looking out the back and loads of bikes and cars pulling I guess Tax and MOT dodgers over...

The BIB, Camberley area seem to have an unmarked vehicle I hadn't seen until today, a new Range Rover in silver. It had pulled over an old Ford Escort at the A30/Frimley Road lights.
